Spain’s data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, released 12 recommendations for using mobile apps to access and manage the capacity of public places due to COVID-19 restrictions. Recommendations include not processing personal data for any purpose other than the management of social distance measures and processing data of children under 14 only with parental consent. Meanwhile, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, Canada, released a report on a privacy impact assessment of the ABTraceTogether contact-tracing app.
