Two U.S. House Energy and Commerce subcommittees discussed potential regulation against a range of Big Tech companies related to alleged insufficient protection of children online, Bloomberg reports. Lawmakers probed Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey over various issues related to keeping kids safe on the internet, including maintaining their privacy. Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Fla., explicitly stated lawmakers would either look at new legislation or updating existing laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
