The Artificial Intelligence (Regulation) Bill received its second reading in the U.K. House of Lords 22 March. Initially introduced in November 2023, the private members' bill proposed by Lord Holmes of Richmond, a member of the influential House of Lords Select Committee on Science and Technology, would establish an AI Authority and require responsible AI officers for organizations developing, deploying or using AI.
