Ars Technica reports the U.S. Senate voted to overturn the Federal Communications Commission’s repeal of net neutrality. The vote was 52-47, with all Senate Democrats, plus Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, John Kennedy, R-La., and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, voting in favor of the reversal. The process now moves to the House, with the net neutrality repeal still scheduled for June 11. Republicans criticized the outcome of the vote. "Today, some in Congress are trying to give the government more control again, applying utility-style regulations that would threaten the internet as we know it," Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., said.
