MediaPost reports a group of parents have re-filed a complaint against companies that have allegedly tracked children’s data illegally. The initial complaint accused Disney of allowing companies to embed code into various applications to track young children. The new complaint now names Twitter and comScore as defendants, accusing the companies of violating privacy laws in California, New York and Massachusetts as well as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. "Unbeknownst to parents and their children, Disney — in partnership with (other) defendants — collects and exfiltrates personal data as users play the Disney gaming apps," the complaint states.
