Microsoft has announced the opening of the “first of its kind” Transparency Center and Cybersecurity Center in Singapore, WinBeta reports. The center “will allow more governments in the Asia region better access to Microsoft professionals and security experts, joining the other Transparency Centers in North America and Europe,” the report states. “The opening of the Microsoft regional Transparency Center in Singapore to serve the wider Asia-Pacific region, advances our worldwide commitment to drive transparency, security and trust in digital technologies in the mobile-first and cloud-first world,” said Microsoft’s Toni Townes-Whitley. There are plans underway for an eventual Beijing, China Transparency Center, the report adds.
