In a blog post, TikTok’s Head of Privacy Europe Elaine Fox announced privacy changes for users under 18. The default setting for users under 16 will be private, allowing only their approved followers to view videos. For those under 16, options for commenting on their videos will be restricted to friends, the “suggest your account to others” setting will be turned off by default, and their videos will not be downloadable, while users age 16-17 can enable the option.
