Ticketmaster UK discovered malicious software on a customer service product that caused an unknown third party to receive customer data, The Verge reports. The data breach included customer login information, payment details, names, addresses and other identifiable information. The company has emailed affected individuals and is asking customers to reset their passwords. Those believed to be affected individuals, including some international customers who bought or tried to buy tickets between September 2017 and June 23 and U.K. customers who bought tickets between February and June 23, will be offered a free 12-month monitoring service. The company said the data breach impacted “less than 5 percent of our global customer base.”
