Brookings Institution Distinguished Visiting Fellow in Governance Studies Cameron Kerry wrote an op-ed discussing the decreasing likelihood that U.S. Congress will pass a comprehensive privacy law this year without a vehicle. Kerry also cited bipartisan interest on limiting foreign data purchases and the possibility of using children's privacy protections as a vehicle for bigger action.
