Forbes reports on the first known case where law enforcement forced an iPhone X user to unlock his phone with his face. Grant Michalski, a suspect in a child abuse case who would later be arrested for possessing child pornography, was served a warrant by a U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation agent requiring him to put his face in front of the device in order to access information necessary for the investigation. Michalski complied with the request, and the investigator was able to gather Kik Messenger communications for the case. "Traditionally, using a person's face as evidence or to obtain evidence would be considered lawful," Legal Aid Society Staff Attorney Jerome Greco said. "But never before have we had so many people's own faces be the key to unlock so much of their private information."
