A survey conducted by Ernst & Young polled chief financial officers on their organizations’ data practices, The Wall Street Journal reports. Of the 1,000 CFOs and controllers who responded to the survey, nearly half said they spend more time collecting and processing data than they spend analyzing information. The biggest hurdle for CFOs to introduce new financial reporting technologies was data security, as 54 percent of respondents said it was their top tech concern. Another 63 percent of CFOs said their teams have been hesitant to embrace digital innovation. (Registration may be required to access this story.)
