The International Air Travel Association’s 2021 Global Passenger Survey found 73% of passengers are interested in replacing boarding passes and passports with biometric data, Security Magazine reports. Of the 13,000 passengers surveyed, 56% expressed concerns about loss of data due to breaches, 52% were concerned with a lack of knowledge of who their data is shared with, and 51% were concerned about data handling and storage. Fifty-one percent also said they would share biometric data with hotels or car rental companies.
