  • South African pharmacy retailer Dis-Chem was hit with a data breach that impacted 3.6 million customers, InfoSecurity reports. The company announced in a statement a contracted third-party service provider that developed a database for Dis-Chem was accessed by an unauthorized party.
  • Nearly 2 million Texans’ data was exposed for almost three years because of a programming issue at the Texas Department of Insurance, Infosecurity Magazine reports. TDI announced the information of 1.8 million workers who filed compensation claims was publicly available online between March 2019 and January 2022. The information included Social Security numbers, addresses, birthdates, phone numbers and information about individuals’ injuries.
