A survey found Singapore is the top Asian nation for data privacy, the Singapore Business Review reports. According to the Artmotion report, Singapore received a risk score of 1.9 percent, thanks to the city-state’s independent privacy legislation and political stability, the report states. Singapore only trailed Switzerland, the safest nation in the world for data storage, with the European country receiving a risk score of 1.6 percent. Two other Asian nations placed in the top 10, with Hong Kong coming in fifth and Taiwan coming in sixth. “Despite Asia’s growing role as a market for data storage, the new benchmark suggests that it is falling behind other regions when it comes to data security and privacy,” the report stated.
