In its “Technology Vision 2019” report, Accenture predicts organizations will give consumers more privacy and control over their data, Fortune reports. Accenture’s annual report covers the trends it believes will impact businesses over the upcoming three years. The report states in order for companies to build trust with consumers, they need to place an emphasis on transparency and the ability to manage their own information. “Companies are amassing tremendous amounts of information about consumers,” Accenture Chief Technology and Innovation Officer Paul Daugherty said. “The key thing for companies to think about is just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should do something.”
