Jumbawumba seeks to become the search engine that provides both information and privacy for its users, according to a press release. The search engine, which is patent-pending, would provide all relevant information on the search on one page, and it would look like the search originated from Jumbawumba and not from the user's computer. Jumbawumba's servers would be overseas in order to limit government access but still comply with official subpoenas. It would also not store any data of one-time searches, and any records kept on ongoing searches would not be sold to marketing firms. Currently, Jumbawumba is still seeking capital through Kickstarter.

Instead of having the files uploaded to a remote server, the files move directly between devices and PCs using BitTorrent's peer-to-peer file-sharing technology. The data shared in Sync is encrypted, with each device involved in the sharing given its own unique security key. Sync comes in both a free and paid version, depending on the file-size needs of the user.
