The U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial and Administrative Law of the Committee on the Judiciary released a report on analyzing competition in the digital markets. The report cites various issues, including some related to privacy, that are creating an alleged "monopoly" among the likes of Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google. Lawmakers noted the current state of power in the digital market is shown by "the degree to which platforms have eroded consumer privacy without prompting a response from the market."
