The ban on underage access to pornographic websites will go into effect in the U.K. July 15, Ars Technica reports. The new mandate, which is part of the Digital Economy Bill that was passed by Parliament in 2017, will require porn sites to verify that a user is over the age of 18 before allowing access. While the bill does not include privacy rules for the misuse of user information, individuals will still be protected under the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
