Peru’s National Data Protection Authority launched an investigation into alleged violations of the Personal Data Protection Law by personnel from the National Superintendency of Migrations. The ANPD said the investigation follows an alleged leak of personal data from the Jorge Chávez International Airport and includes verifying “both the technical and organizational measures that guarantee the adequate treatment of the personal data of citizens made by Migrations.”
