Fowler explains how his car played witness to its own hit-and-run incident, which he writes makes him "scared" that society is not ready for such technology to "change the open road." Fowler adds open use of video, when it's eventually made available to more people, may signal "the end of the idea that cars are private spaces to peace out and get away — an American symbol of independence."
