Two Ontario teachers won an appeal against their school district after they were disciplined based on a conversation between them on their work computers, Law Times News reports. The Ontario Court of Appeal ruled two elementary school teachers had their privacy rights violated. One teacher complained to the teachers’ union that another teacher was allegedly receiving “preferential treatment” by the principal. The complaining teacher and a coworker kept an activity log on a personal Google Cloud account. The principal found it, took screenshots and disciplined the two teachers.
