Edward Snowden’s lawsuit against the Norwegian government was rejected by an appeals court within the country, Reuters reports. Snowden aimed to secure safe passage to Norway to receive a free speech award, but the appeals court shot down his request, upholding a decision made by the Oslo District Court in June. After making its ruling, the appeals court said it could not be compelled to make an advanced decision on whether or not to extradite Snowden. William Nygaard, the chairman of PEN Norway, a branch of the organization giving Snowden the award, said the decision will be appealed to the Supreme Court.
