The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology has released a preliminary draft of its Privacy Framework. The agency announced it will accept comments on the draft until Oct. 24. NIST aims to take the feedback and release the first version of the document by the end of the year. “Privacy risk management practices are not yet well understood,” NIST Senior Privacy Policy Adviser Naomi Lefkovitz said. “This document is just a beginning. In collaboration with our stakeholders, we will build more guidance around it.”
