Sixty-one nations signed the "Declaration for the Future of the Internet," which outlines various digital commitments related to maintaining internet commerce. The pledges outlined in the declaration include "a global Internet that advances the free flow of information" and the promotion of "trust in the global digital ecosystem, including through protection of privacy." While collaborating globally to achieve these principles, participants will continue "respecting each other’s regulatory autonomy within our own jurisdictions."
