Morrison & Foerster announced Kristen Mathews, CIPP/US, joined the firm’s privacy and data security practice as a partner in the New York office, Bloomberg Law reports. Mathews, who was previously the head of Proskauer’s privacy & cybersecurity group, represents the eighth lateral partner to join the firm. Law.com also reports that Lisa Monaco has joined O’Melveny & Myers as a partner and co-chair of the firm’s data security and privacy group. Monaco formerly served as the assistant attorney general, Federal Bureau of Investigation chief of staff, and Department of Homeland Security adviser to President Barack Obama.
