Italy's data protection authority, the Garante, ordered TikTok to block the accounts of users within the country whose age cannot be verified, Reuters reports. The edict came down following the death of a 10-year-old girl and would require the application to prohibit the registration of any user under the age of 13. The ban will last until Feb. 15, and the case will be passed to Ireland's Data Protection Commission. A TikTok spokeswoman said the company is looking into messages received from the DPA.
