Vice reports employees from Israel-based NSO Group have filed a lawsuit in Tel Aviv District Court accusing Facebook of violating Israeli privacy laws. "It appears that Facebook used the [NSO employees'] personal data ... in order to identify them as NSO employees (or former employees), in service of imposing 'collective punishment' on them, in the form of blocking their personal accounts," the employees' lawyers wrote in the court filing. The banned accounts came after WhatsApp, a Facebook subsidiary, took legal action against NSO in October for an alleged spy program.
