The Netherlands' data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, said it will not fine Tesla over potential violations related to their cars' built-in security cameras. The AP said Tesla changed the Sentry Mode feature to record only when enabled by the user and reduced image storage time. It also noted its investigation determined vehicle owners, not Tesla, are legally responsible for images recorded by their vehicles. AP board member Katja Mur said Tesla reduced the risk of vehicle owners "violating the law by illegally filming people."
