The U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office has opened a consultation on its draft guidance on the right of access under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The ICO updated its initial guidance, first published in April 2018, to include more details about individuals’ rights to access their information, the obligations placed upon controllers, special rules around certain categories of personal data and how to handle requests that involve the personal data of others. The consultation is open until Feb. 12, 2020. Participants can offer their feedback through an online survey, via email or by post mail.
