Brazil’s data protection authority, the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, held hearings July 15 and 16 seeking public feedback on the draft regulation governing the ANPD’s investigation powers and the application of penalties set forth in the General Data Protection Law. The draft was published a month ahead of the consultation, giving stakeholders ample time to craft their comments.
