Speaking at the annual Google I/O, the tech company’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, announced Google Lens, a new tool that allows users to search the internet through their camera, Wired reports. When a user takes a photo with Google Lens, the tool offers results beyond the identity of the subject, such as alerting individuals to a restaurant’s hours or what a certain flower needs in order to survive. Lens will be incorporated into Google Photos, where the tool will mine a user’s existing library for data before eventually finding its way into all Google products.
