Reuters reports a class-action lawsuit seeking $5 billion has been filed against Google over allegations of unlawful tracking of internet users. The complaint alleges Google monitored browsing histories of users while they used private browsers. In their filing, the plaintiffs wrote Google must halt its "covert and unauthorized data collection." In response, Google Spokesman Jose Castaneda said, "As we clearly state each time you open a new incognito tab, websites might be able to collect information about your browsing activity."
