The Future of Privacy Forum, Washington & Lee University School of Law, and the IAPP have announced a collaboration to create a Roundtable Issue of the W&L Law Review for the 2016-2017 academic year. The issue will focus on data and privacy topics related to the National Privacy Research Strategy. To help, all three organizations are co-sponsoring a call for papers and will host a Symposium on Privacy Research Prioritization. The call for papers is seeking authors from multiple disciplines, including law, computer science, statistics, engineering, social science, ethics, and business. Three main priority areas are increased transparency around data collection, use, sharing and retention; assurance that information flows are in line with privacy rules; and reducing privacy risks in analytical algorithms.
