Facebook will begin testing advertisements within Oculus’ virtual reality headsets. Facebook will not use information stored and processed on headsets to target ads and users will have the ability to manage ads and to view, download or delete their data, Oculus said in a blog post. The headset ads will first appear in the Blaston game from Resolution Games and will appear in others over the coming weeks. Oculus said the testing is part of its efforts to explore revenue-generating options for developers.
