Politico reports leaked documents show the European Commission has begun two informal investigations into Google's data practices. According to questionnaires issued by the commission, the investigations are described as looking into Google's "collecting, accessing, processing, using or monetising data" and its advertising technology "in relation to advertisers, publishers and intermediaries, and competitors." The investigations have yet to be publicly disclosed, though the commission reportedly has 11 people working the cases.
