Email management app Superhuman is raising concerns about its privacy practices around the use of pixel tracking, Axios reports. The app allows senders to track emails by having a recipient download a pixel or graphic file when they open the message. The pixel then tracks the location data of the recipient each time the email is opened, without the recipient’s knowledge. Unlike subscribers to email newsletters who are aware their data is being tracked, Superhuman is collecting information without warning recipients their data is being collected, according to the report.
