HealthITSecurity reports a handful of recent breaches revealed this week, including a possible personal data breach with Superior Dental Care in Ohio. The dental insurance carrier has warned members of an employee email hack that began Dec. 21 and was discovered Jan. 23. The hack exposed patient names, Social Security numbers, and payment and medical information regarding treatment. Frederick Regional Health System in Maryland endured a similar breach of patient information when an employee was duped by a phishing scheme Jan. 21.
