Dutch consumer association Consumentenbond claim five dating apps are in violation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, NLTimes.nl reports. The group alleges Tinder, Happn, 50plusmatch, PArship and Paiq use tracking cookies to send advertisements without user consent. Of the 10 apps it investigated, the group found nine of them had privacy notices that are “too vague,” according to the report. Since it brought forth its findings, Happn, 50plusmatch and Paiq adjusted their policies on cookies.
