Blockchain-based cloud-computing project Dfinity Foundation raised $102 million in its latest round of funding, FinSMEs reports. Dfinity, which aims to advance the Internet Computer, a blockchain supercomputer designed to host the next generation of software and services, stated the funds will support the development of the Dfinity community network, related technologies and network launch. Meanwhile, TechCrunch reports Nebula Genomics, a startup focused on leveraging blockchain technology for genomic data, also raised $4.3 million in Series A funding and developed a new partnership with genome sequencing company Veritas Genetics.
