BC Information and Privacy Commissioner Elizabeth Denham has completed her report on allegations a former Transportation Ministry staff member “intentionally deleted Highway of Tears emails and records” and referred the matter to the RCMP, CBC News reports. Denham’s investigation also found that a staff member in the premier's office “routinely contravened freedom of information laws by bulk deleting emails on a daily basis,” the report states. Meanwhile, two nurses in Manitoba have been fined $1,000 each in separate incidents where “the confidential medical information of a patient was shared—in violation of privacy rules.”
