BBB National Programs’ Digital Advertising Accountability Program announced the results of its compliance work with Pinsight Media's 1Weather app and its location data practices. DAAP brought the app up to speed with the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Principles, which included improved transparency, updated privacy policies and opt-out notices, and more. "Because of its sensitivity, the use of precise location data for ad targeting requires heightened notice to end users," DAAP Vice President Jon Brescia said in a press release.
