France’s data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, published a guide to its "priority themes," which direct its investigations. For 2023, the CNIL will prioritize inquiries dealing with public agencies' use of smart cameras, the use of the personal credit repayment incident files by banks, continued checks on health care institutions accessing digital patient records, and monitoring app makers' use of digital trackers.
