In the second of two dispatches from last week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV, George Mason University’s Mercatus Center Senior Research Fellow Adam Thierer describes three more big takeaways that privacy professionals should be thinking about. Not only are cameras becoming smaller and wearables more fashionable, they’re easily placed on drones—a technology ready for the mainstream. Perhaps, however, what privacy pros should be paying attention to most, he writes in this Privacy Perspectives installment, “is the rapid growth of robotic technologies,” noting that “personal care robotics,” for example, is “going to take off in a major way.”
