A class-action lawsuit against Facebook over the Cambridge Analytica breach has been dismissed by an Ontario judge, the Toronto Star reports. Ontario Superior Court of Justice Judge Edward Belobaba dismissed the case involving Canadians “whose Facebook information was shared with Cambridge Analytica,” ruling a lack of evidence that data was shared with the firm. A second case involving a broader group of users whose personal information was improperly obtained by third parties, including Cambridge Analytica, continues to move forward.
