FBI Cyber Division Acting Assistant Director James Trainor has said the rate of large-scale data breaches is rapidly on the rise, The Hill reports. Trainor said the agency used to see such breaches every two to three weeks, but, “Now, it is close to every two to three days,” adding the cybersecurity industry needs to “double or triple” its workforce to keep up. In separate news, KrebsonSecurity reports that mSpy has been hacked, and, subsequently, customer data has been leaked. The software claims to help parents keep tabs on their children. According to Krebs, “a huge trove of data apparently stolen from the company’s servers was posted on the Deep Web, exposing countless emails, text messages, payment and location data on an undetermined number of mSpy ‘users.’”
