Brave launched a new system that collects user data while “guaranteeing” user privacy, TechRadar reports. Called the STAR system, developers claim it ensures user privacy by utilizing cryptographic techniques. It is based on “k-anonymity,” where all of the data points a collector would want are “never unique to a specific individual.”
