Fashion retailer Black Swallow will pay Showpo $60,000 to settle allegations that a former employee downloaded and shared Showpo's full company database with the company, Financial Review reports. Both companies will pay their own legal fees and the case will be dismissed following the completion of all the payments. The list taken by the former employee included Showpo customers' names and other company suppliers, web users, subscribers, and associates, ultimately containing 306,000 people, the report states. After reportedly sharing the database with the Black Swallow team, the company "began sending promotional emails to the contacts." Both companies declined to comment on the court orders, the report adds.
