The Belgian Data Protection Authority is reportedly close to finalizing a draft ruling on its investigation into IAB Europe’s Transparency & Consent Framework. IAB Europe said it was notified of the status by the DPA and that the ruling identifies infringements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. IAB Europe said the draft ruling is expected to be shared with other authorities in the coming weeks. The Irish Council for Civil Liberties, which issued a complaint about the system, said it hopes the decision "will finally force the online advertising industry to reform."
