The Supreme Court of British Columbia will hear a case involving access to birth alert records, IndigiNews reports. IndigiNews obtained records through a freedom of information request. They were published though the British Columbia Ministry of Children and Family Development, which requested the records be returned and kept private. An order by British Columbia's Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner adjudicator Elizabeth Barker, CIPP/C, to release portions of the documents that were blacked out was not followed by the ministry, which petitioned the Supreme Court.
