The Australian Privacy Foundation released a statement requesting a number of privacy improvements related to regulation and company practices, iTWire reports. Ahead of Australia's federal elections 21 May, the APF asked whichever party takes control to consider changes to the definition of user consent and fewer privacy law exemptions. The group also asked for amendments to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act of 1983 that would curtail the sharing of re-identifiable personal data by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
